Cooking at Citropia with Gottfried
Gottfried teaches and demonstrates cooking in his own kitchen at Citropia – a citrus orchard here on the Awhitu Peninsula. Classes are suitable for both the experienced and inexperienced cook.

Gottfried’s Philosophy
Gottfried who was cooking at his grandfather’s side in the Black Forest, south Germany since the age of six has international experience that is impressive. Gottfried is classically trained and has worked at some of the most prestigious European hotels, he has the qualification of Master Chef (Meisterbrief status), held the position of head chef over 80 others at Intercontinental, here in Auckland and is probably best known for his own restaurant Plusone – a Ponsonby icon for many years.
Convivial Classes
Gottfried’s convivial classes are conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere in the idyllic setting of the Citropia orchard. A minimum of 3 people is required for a class and a maximum of 6. A class calendar is published each season and can be referred to on our web site, however specific classes can be tailored to your needs.
