Preview Night
Event held on Friday 10th October. Potential buyers a chance to get first look at the art work on show for both auction and exhibition and meet the artists. Tickets are $10 per head and available at Awhitu Info Centre, Franklin i-sites and the Pollok Coop. Phone 2351 551 This is a ticketed event run by the Awhitu Enterprise Inc. who will be providing finger food and wine.
The Auction
Provided these works reach reserve, 33% of the sale will go to the Lighthouse Trust Fund. (The artist may wish to donate a greater proportion of the safe and can indicate this on the entry form e.g. 100%, 75%, 50% etc.) Those works which fail to make reserve will. be available for sale as part of the exhibition for the remaining two weeks. The Co-op will NOT take any commission from the auction sales.
The Competition.
The Light-Art Competition with a $500 1st prize.The theme for the competition, which is open to any medium, is the Manukau Heads Lighthouse/West Coast/Manukau Harbour. There is a $10 entry fee per work. Entry forms must be in by Tuesday September 30th.
The Exhibition
Entries from the competition will be exhibited from Monday 13 October for a month until Sunday 9 November, All works will be for sale. Some works will be selected from the exhibition by the Co-op to be auctioned on the Sunday of Labour weekend. Artists can put in as many entries as they wish.
The Raffle
The raffle will be running at the same time as the Exhibition. A gold coin donation will give you a chance to win an oil painting of the Lighthouse by well- known local artist Deborah Illingworth.
