An opportunity to find meaning through image making

Summary: This will be a semi-directive art studio experience designed for you to explore your creativity through art materials such as paint, pastels and clay. This course will be fun, positive and energetic. It will challenge both your creativity and perceptions. At the end of the two days you will have an awareness of yourself as a creative human being and a portfolio of personal images, which will reflect the unique qualities that are special to you.

Sara Smallman B.A Hons Dip. A.T.Adv, is first and foremost a painter; she trained in the Fine Arts at Falmouth School of Arts Cornwall England and went on to train as an Art Therapist at St. Albans Hertfordshire. Sara immigrated to New Zealand in 1991 and continued to find working with art and people to be the most fascinating and rewarding job imaginable. Over the past 18 years of working as an art therapist she has worked with many different people and in various settings. Sara is looking forward to opening her studio, which overlooks the Manukau harbour to those visitors curious to discover a new side of themselves. Sara has two girls, four cats and one small dog all with minds of their own.
