Breaking barriers to good writing.
Itching to write an original short story?
Stuck in a writing rut?
Juggling to many ideas?
Eluded by that happy/unhappy ending?
Join writer Paul Dixon for 2 days in a bush and beach retreat on Awhitu Peninsula. Paul can help kick-start your imagination; organize and sharpen ideas; trim flab; hack through the hackneyed; ditch the dull - in order to create or polish short stories people will enjoy. The views are rather inspirational too.
You need only arrive with laptop or note pad, an idea or two {optional} and a desire to create in an atmosphere of flexibility, trust and harmony. Awhitu offers many kilometres of bare beach for chasing the dog along while whipping ideas into shape.
For over 30 years Paul honed his skills in the ultimate short prose workshop - advertising. Won awards too. Recently he published a collection of stories (fact and fiction). Now, when not encouraging others to unshackle dreams, he works with wife Sue on local land care issues, cooks, drinks a little wine, attempts to play guitar, listens to lots of music, fishes some days and, most days, walk the aforementioned dog.
