Jan will take you to some of her favourite scenic locations where you will be able to draw upon Aliah Jan's long experience as an award-winning photographer, to help you capture Awhitu's magnificence in memorable ways. This photographic experience caters for all levels of digital camera expertise, from absolute beginner to camera enthusiast. Jan will encourage you to think creatively with your camera and employ elements of design to create the kind of digital images you'll be proud of.

Painter and photographer Aliah Jan trained in Graphic Design at the Malaysian Institute of Arts, Kuala Lumpur. In 2002 she immigrated to New Zealand with her family to found Creative Joy Studio at Pollok on Awhitu Peninsula. The studio is a centre for both children and adults to become proficient in photography, art and ceramics. When not teaching art, Aliah Jan actively travels locally and abroad capturing suitable subjects for her own brushes and cameras. A regular winner of awards, she also judges for the Photographic Society of New Zealand and frequently gives the benefit of her skill and experience to local camera clubs.
